Motion Graphics
Overview

Motion graphics play an important role in the production quality of Sports Card Investor’s content. It helps make videos feel polished, professional, and engaging—while ensuring that branding remains consistent across platforms.

I worked with pre-designed motion templates, customizing them to fit SCI’s brand identity specific project needs. My work ensured that motion elements like intros, lower thirds, transitions, and motion ads felt cohesive, well-integrated, and added to the viewing experience rather than distracting from it.

One of the biggest motion projects I contributed to was the Virtual Holiday Card Show, where set the art direction, and then I edited and  customized motion templates for intros, transitions, and on-screen graphics to create a broadcast-style presentation.
The Challenge: Balancing Production Speed with Branding Consistency

SCI produces a high volume of video content, and motion graphics need to be fast, efficient, and on-brand without slowing down production. Before I took on this role, motion elements were inconsistent, and there wasn’t a streamlined system for applying branded animations.

To solve this, I:

Sourced and customized motion templates that fit SCI’s brand identity
Standardized lower thirds, transitions, and intros to ensure consistency across videos
Edited motion ads and social animations quickly, ensuring promotional content could be launched on schedule

The Solution: Customizing Motion Graphics for a Polished Look

Branded Motion Templates: Consistency Without Slowing Production
I customized pre-designed motion templates in After Effects and Blender, tailoring them to SCI’s specific branding needs. These included:

Animated logo intros for SCI’s YouTube and live events
Lower thirds and pop-ups to introduce guests, statistics, and product information
Smooth, engaging transitions to maintain a professional, high-energy look
Motion Ads: Quick Turnarounds for Promotional Content

I also worked on templated motion ads, allowing SCI to roll out fast, consistent promotional content for new product updates, social campaigns, and partnerships.
Final Thoughts

My approach to motion graphics at SCI was about customization, efficiency, and brand consistency. By working with pre-designed templates and adapting them to SCI’s needs, I ensured that videos, live events, and promotional content all maintained a professional and engaging visual style—without delaying production timelines.
