Overview
Sports Card Investor (SCI) is a content network and data platform that helps collectors and investors make smarter decisions in the sports card market. With tools like Market Movers, a robust YouTube presence, and an expanding social media footprint, SCI blends nostalgia, data, and technology to empower users to "profit from the hobby they love."
When I joined SCI, they were producing a high volume of content but lacked a consistent visual identity. As the first in-house designer, I established brand guidelines that shaped the look and feel of everything from YouTube thumbnails to ad campaigns and social media posts. My work has directly contributed to subscriber growth, increased engagement, and higher conversions for SCI’s flagship product, Market Movers.
The Challenge: Staying afloat while defining the brand
When I started at SCI, the most difficult part was keeping up with the amount of content being created while maintaining a cohesive look. SCI had a presence, but without dedicated design leadership, its visual presentation was inconsistent.
To solve this, I:
• Developed a unified visual identity for YouTube, social media, and marketing graphics
• Created templates & design systems that allowed the team to scale content efficiently
• Designed engaging visuals that drove conversions, engagement, and subscriber growth
